As with any Zauss recording the new album is a tough nut to crack which may prove to be challenging for even the most hardcore fan of avant-garde music. The first track Milano Centrale is a prime example of what's in store. Angular sax lines, although not completely devoid of melody, twist and turn amidst a noise strewn sound collage. I will say listening to this latest platter from Zauss is a real head trip and there are moments where the occasional hint of beauty almost caught me off guard.
