Loefah - Midnight, Woman You don't have to be a dubstep expert to know that some of the genre's best tracks were dubplates that were never released, or took years to finally hit wax. These two mythical Loefah tunes, which go all the way back to 2004, have escaped any official issue until now. Landing on London label Berceuse Heroique, Midnight and Woman are a reminder of the pivotal role the Swamp 81 boss played in the development of dubstep. They also show just how timeless the original classics are. Woman is one of Loefah's most cerebral tr. Слушать бесплатно и скачать Loefah - Midnight Dub в форматах mp3 320, WAV, FLAC

after 10 years of listening to the rinse rips of these tunes i cant really get down with how they sound on wax, they need that 05 rinse fm signal squashing
godlike
RIP Barefiles. Some of those 96 kbps archives... manholdup. Big up Deapoh
Iaiastta
I know exactly what you mean. I NEEDS the talking, it's essential to the track. without the talking it seems empty. "NO IT'S NOT FUBU!"
Skunk Black
". . . big up the message that reads tablecloth"
Eigeni
Also needs Task talking over them too. "Minus degree..." "Too cold..."
Wrathshaper
I feel like I probably overpaid for this record, but I don't care. For the A side almost almost being a lost dub forever that's obliterated every sound system its been played on, to the B being one of the sexiest tunes of the genre. It's my humble opinion that this is Loefah (always wants to auto-correct to 'Loofah' for some reason) at his finest.I still get goosebumps remembering Yunx dropping Midnight on a Funktion-1...
Kikora
was in the middle of some "fun" with an ex when this one dropped, missed it by like a minute. may be my favorite loefah tune(s) ever. hopefully i can snag it one day! the things we do for love lol
AnnyMars
loefah had nothing to do with how many plates got pressed btw, if anyone is wonderingdirect ur disappointment towards gizmo and his vinyl exclusivity fetish
Ahieones
Loefah could have self-released this, or released it on DMZ... then he could have controlled how many copies were pressed, so in a way he did have something to do with how many copies were available
Mananara
gizmo is a sap
Aver
Or direct it right here at this guy!
Dusho
u have mommy issues
Vrion
Is this 180 gram? Seems thicker.
Wild Python
That's what she said... And she's a woman a woman a woman

Foginn
amazing riddims, shame ppl on here rate it bad coz they dont have a copy or cant get 1.
Yanki
Btw there is a mistake on this one: the mastering was done at Precise Mastering. We only did the lacquer at D & M. Thank you.
Oreavi
Do a repress, I doubt you had it made so that it could sit sealed in record sharks' basements. Or maybe you did.
Yla
Its so sad that many people who want to play this are not able to do so due to other people who bought this just for reselling at a price no one will ever accept hopefully. Which means that these records are like ghosts.
OCARO
...available @ Sotheby's soon to be installed auction for contemporary electronic Music ?
Goodman
I wonder how many months/years copies of this record will have to sit in the wrapper, unsold, being endlessly relisted for attention before sellers finally conced and list for real world prices. Many, is my guess.
Cogelv
:( hopefully not too many
Abywis
No one should be paying for this record. Not a particularly good tune, hype is only cuz of the limited release. Wide release it and no one bats an eye. Once again not a very good tune
Enalonasa
You know that this has been one of the most wanted dubstep tunes for nearly a decade?
Ferne
battering my copy already. all you pussies that have still got it sealed in the wrapper need handjobs (from yourself doesn't count)
Winn

Najinn
ha! i was told by chris @ idle hands that TANMUSHIMUSHI attempted to buy some copies but in the end just refunded him - we all know how that would have ended otherwise..
Marilore
Good news everybody: I'm repressing my grandmother. 100 copies only and they all come complete with a photocopy of an Iceland five bird roast. No digital.
Manazar

Jeronashe

I was lucky enough to get a copy and it will be a great addition to my vinyl collection. I will never sell it! I don't like vinyl touting. If you don't want it then let someone have it who does want it.
Whatever
first wanna say i m not a dubstep fan...i don t know why people steal the possibility to others to have a nice record only for earn some dirty money with a new account, you don t like what with a lot of difficult you was lucky to buy? or you are only a vimpire?...anyway i prefere artist like Dubkasm that press 4 time a record to satisfy his fans, they also done the first 100 copys of the new release
from earth
i grabed a copy from honest jons and because i dont listen to dubstep anymore i will sell this copy unopened here on discogs for 4 euro 50 cent as soon as i get it from the postman just to destroy the hype be on the lookout...best blank
Danrad

Lonesome Orange Kid

RE: Discogs Sharks. Please, if you have any sense in you, Do not buy this record for hundreds of dollars when you can have the superior Mud/Rufage and Root/Goat Stare for a lower total price.

Yojin
I wanted to say something here about the prices cuz i know everyone is watching this space..While i don't condone selling this (really?! why would you want to part with it?) all you people saying the prices for this record are ridiculous are wrong in my opinion. I can understand if it was a new track or something obscure that no one knows or cares about, or if there were many copies pressed and was going to have a repress, or if it had been easier to buy, or even if there were digital copies for sale. However none of those things are true. This is a limited pressing (lets be realistic, more like 200 copies after everyone in the "know" had theirs) of tracks that laid the foundation to a whole new genre of music. This is something that's very personal to a lot of people. A whole decade passed for this to be pressed (lets not forget that the wav for 'Midnight' had been lost), and it's sale, people put in effort to stay up all night waiting for the link to appear at Honest Jon's (if you got it online). All these reasons alone should justify how expensive this is, but even more, these tunes are banging! Do i need to highlight just how good 'Midnight' and 'Woman' are? and you people are complaining about $500.. get real... If i were to sell this (which i never would) that's the least amount of money i would even consider selling it at.

Hype? If anything, the hype has been caused by the massive fervor and outpouring of general hate towards the people involved in this. Honestly - greed, racism and homophobia over a *record*? That's what really draws the attention to it.These tracks have been around for years - predictably, there will be excitement as these are a couple of foundational tracks for the genre for a lot of people, tunes that people can feel like they can associate with. Sure, the label made some Facebook posts about it but they didn't really do much more did they? The hype has been created by people going mental about these tunes trying to get a copy. Be happy you can listen to it in full on Youtube. Get stoked when you hear this playing on Rinse. Be grateful you'll be able to go out to a rave and feel the subs shaking through your body listening to these tunes. Take happiness in the fact these tunes were even released to a wider audience in the first place! There will be more records like this.Just my two cents.
Xor
Jarrie Totally agree dude, the hate is completely unneccesary. Still wounded to have missed out though. Better start saving unless someone wanting to sell has an ounce of dignity towards their asking price. Also, does anyone know loe's thought process in using this label and not DMZ? Seems weird is all? Naturally, it's disappointing to miss out on a record like this. I don't understand the outpouring of bitterness from something that should in fact bring people who like the genre closer together, to similar nights hoping to hear these tunes out. From what I know Loefah and Gizmo have known each other for a good few years, so perhaps the decision to release this record on BH as opposed to DMZ has come from that.

Alianyau
If you need to create this kind of hype to sell your records, then probably the music itself is nothing special really. Meh.
Fenrikasa
What if it wasn't by loefah and instead was being sold as a work by an anonymous producer?
Wel
are you joking? this record would've sold out just the same had they pressed 1000... Or 2000.
Brightfury
Most hyped record since phil collins dub
Doukasa
That shit needs a press
Gralinda
While these tracks sound dated (duh), Woman and Midnight still stand as two of the most twisted and bass-heavy slabs in Loefah's catalog. Hearing the samples alone should raise the hair on the necks of dub-steppers for years to come, no matter how you feel the release was handled. A+ slice of dubstep history.
FLIDER
"Artwork by Will Bankhead"More like; here's a picture of my dog because fuck you.
Conjuril
What a rancid label to release this on
Uleran
Better than the tunes not coming out at all, least there was a chance to grab em.
6snake6
I will shake the hand of the hero who uploads the Wav rips
Rocky Basilisk
It's ok but seriously a very long stretch away from Loefah's best work. :)
Xmatarryto
I got one and I think it's a great record.So there.Peace.
Shadowredeemer
No, I ordered it online. I haven't actually "got" it yet. I heard the tunes on Youtube.
Wetiwavas
you went to the shop?
Jan
turns out midnight was a b-side all along
რฉςh
That's a funny way to think of it haha. Like a song is inherently a "b-side" or something. I guess there really is no great way to do away with that, A / AA sides don't really do it. Some labels do X / Y sides and that's a little better I guess.
