Although only in his mid-thirties, Nashville stalwart Sean McConnell has been releasing music for nearly two decades. Recording his debut at the age of 15, the Boston native spent the 2000s issuing a string of independent albums that firmly established his pop hooks, country roots, and folky heart. McConnell is an American folk and country singer-songwriter. McConnell was born in Massachusetts to two folk singers who played in local venues in the Boston area. His family moved to Georgia when he was eleven years old, and while there he began playing guitar and writing his own songs. McConnell attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he performed regionally and continued songwriting.
