I've loved this album ever since it was first released on vinyl back in the early 1970s. When I sold my vinyl collection to move to CDs it's been a long journey back to replacing many beloved titles. I am happy that many vinyl albums which seemed destined never to appear are finally making it to CD. This is a very talented duo and as often is the case their big radio hits didn't tell the full story of the depths of their talents. This is a great album for anybody who has only heard their radio hits mostly Summer Breeze. Seals & Crofts I & II is a double album re-issue of their albums, Seals & Crofts and Down Home. In early 1974, while the duo were at the peak of their popularity, Warner Bros. Records decided it would be a good investment to purchase the rights to their first two LPs on the TA label, which by that time, were out of print. Songs 1-12 were written by Jimmy Seals, except for Seven Valleys, which had some help from Dash Crofts. Songs 13-23 were written by Seals & Crofts, except where indicated otherwise. Track listing. Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts are two musicians from Texas who were immensely popular in the 1970's, and still honored today for their hits Summer Breeze, Hummingbird, Diamond Girl, We May Never Pass This Way Again and Get Closer. Their unique poprock sound was made famous by their incredible vocal harmony, songwriting and musicianship. Their music was also distinctive for their spiritual lyrics and themes, inspired by the teachings of the Bahá'í faith. Although no true reunion is planned, Seals & Crofts recorded their first album together in over 20 years in 2004, entitled TRACES
