Celia of the Seals bw The Song of the Wandering Aengus Released: February 1971. After the release of the 1970 album Open Road that Donovan recorded with the band of the same name, he and his bandmates embarked on an international tour, partially by boat. The Song of Wandering Aengus is a poem by Irish poet W. It was first printed in 1897 in British magazine The Sketch under the title A Mad Song. It was then published under its standard name in Yeats' 1899 anthology The Wind Among the Reeds.
