Power Supply is Budgie's eighth studio album, released in October 1980 on Active Records, a sublabel of RCA Records which was the distributor of A&M Records - Budgie's previous label - at the time. All tracks are written by Burke Shelley and John Thomas, except where noted. These tracks were originally released as the If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting EP. Burke Shelley - vocals, bass. John Thomas - guitar. Steve Williams - drums. No doubt influenced by the increasingly popular new wave of British heavy metal, Budgie begin their descent into cliché-ridden metal obscurity with this awful release. The recycled power chords of Forearm Smash set the tone, and despite some interesting moments in Time to Remember, this album certainly ranks as one of the band's all-time lows.
