Synthpop New Wave. From Buzzcocks frontman Pete Shelley's 1981 debut solo album 'Homosapien'. Listen online to Pete Shelley - Homosapien and see which albums it appears on. He had a younger brother, Gary. Homosapien saw a marked departure from the punk stylings of Buzzcocks' records, being heavily influenced by the programmed synthesizer sounds and drum machines of synthpop and featuring Shelly on acoustic guitar. The title track was released as a UK single and was banned by the BBC. Buzzcocks fans were aware that the songs were originally intended for the band's fourth LP even though some, such as the underground hit title track, had been composed before the band began - a new work that was set to continue the intriguing, strange, yet powerful and incredible direction the group had taken on side two of late-1979's A. The previous comments are incorrect. Track 10 has an incorrect time - it is actually 3:49. Track 11 is incorrectly labelled on the release - it is actually the second part of Track 10 "It's Hard Enough Knowing" which is split at a natural break. The 2006 reissue has the track unsplit (5:38). Track 12 contains both "Witness The Change" (4:51) and "Maxine" (3:29)
Capella
tracks 11 & 12 have incorrect edit points. "Witness The Change" is approx. 4:47 but the bulk of the cut is included in the track on the disc for "Maxine." There is no silence between tracks 11 & 12, so it sounds normal to hear but the mastering is definitely in error. If the listener wanted to rip "Witness The CHange," they would have only the first 1:46 of the song.

No. You are mistaken. The 1:49 track 11 is the end of "It's Hard Enough Knowing". It isn't the beginning of "Witness The Change".All that has happened here is that the track identification marker which should have been between the tracks "Witness The Change" and "Maxine" has accidently been placed at a point within the track "It's Hard Enough Knowing" splitting it in half visually. However, the audio is unaffected. Therefore:Track 10/11 = one track: "It's Hard Enough Knowing"Track 12 = two tracks: "Witness The Change" & "Maxine"
