Good Friday is remembered by Christians in the Arab Countries in a similar way to all Christian communities. It is a sorrowful day, on for meditation and prayers. The Christians gather in Churches where traditional hymns are recited and sung to remind them of the Passion and Dearth of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Born and educated in Beirut, Fairuz Fayrouz, Fairouz began her musical career as a chorus member at the Lebanese Radio Station. In the late 1950s her talent as a singer became fully acknowledged.
