It was the band's first album to feature guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, as well as their last to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye until 1983's 90125. First Yes album I bought and still my favourite. Easily the best album. Beautifully crafted and layered. Awaken is sublime. This was the first Yes album I heard. I'm not sure I could call it the best, but it holds a special place in my heart. I understand if this isn't everyone's cup of tea, as it's got that mainstream 80s sound and production.
