This was the first studio album on Smash to feature new material by Lewis, with the pianist having recorded remakes of his Sun hits for Golden Hits of Jerry Lee Lewis the year before. Recording began at Abbey Road Studios on 26 February 1970, and lasted for 15 sessions until 21 July.
