Finally, there are six guitar duets between Frank Victor and Harry Volpe. These are for the most part gentle relaxing studies, which reflect the melodic nature of the guitar, but which show clearly the influence of such jazz guitarists as Eddie Lang, Dick McDonough, and Carl Kress. it comes with an informative liner note by Marty Grosz, and don't overlook the fact that there's a second volume. DGC Rarities Vol. 1 is a rarities album compiled by DGC Records and released in 1994. The songs featured on this album are all b-sides, demos, covers and other rarities recorded by bands on the label. Despite the implications of the title, no other volumes were ever released. The album opens with Mad Dog 2020 by Teenage Fanclub. According to Gerard Love, the song is about being a teenager in Bellshill, Scotland. The song was an outtake from their album Thirteen, and, according to the compilation. Rarities Volume 1 is a digital-only 11-track compilation by English soprano Sarah Brightman. This compilation contains a previously unreleased demo of One Day Ill Fly Away with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and an unreleased version of Morricone's Once Upon A Time In The West.
