The attention to recording quality shows in this set, which provides a deep, clear soundstage for each of the recordings. Studio SM and Atlantic have chosen pieces from a large variety of performers, grouping them into three discs. The first, An Overview of Gregorian Chant, provides as broad a range as possible of styles and songs, from lamentations to offertory and onwards, with performances ranging from full choral enterprises all the way down to a solo performer.
