Vanity 6 is the 1982 self-titled debut and only studio album by American vocal girl group Vanity 6 released on Warner Bros. The group had been created by Prince as an outlet for his prolific song writing. As was typical for Prince's side projects, he obscured his virtually complete responsibility for the production, songwriting, and instrumental performances by arbitrarily attributing the. Many radio programmers were reluctant to air the explicit overly sexual lyrics in the band's songs. Four singles were issued from the album, among them only Nasty Girl got any significant success, mostly in clubs.
