Blissfucker is the fourth studio album by the American grindcorecrust punk band Trap Them. It was released on June 10, 2014. It is the first album to feature their new bassist, Galen Baudhuin Infera Bruo, and drummer Brad Fickeisen No Salvation, ex-The Red Chord. Like their 2011 release, Darker Handcraft, it will also be released on Prosthetic Records. Trap Them released their Filth Rations EP that year, and it was as complete a statement as any full-length theyd recorded to date-and just as joyless. Darker Handcraft followed in 2011, and that album elevated McKenney and crew to a new level. Prior to that, they were little more than another bunch of post-Converge metalcore miscreants after Filth Rations and Darker Handcraft, they sunk into a misanthropic pit of their own making. Misanthropy and humor, of course, can go hand-in-hand quite beautifully-but judging from Blissfucker, Trap Thems new full-length and first since Darker Handcraft,. Trap Them. Type: Full-length. I decided to just play all of Trap Thems albums on shuffle, and then I started to notice that these tracks fit with their body of work better in that sense. The album definitely lacks in a few departments, most notably the drumming. Also, why are the vocals so far in the background on so many tracks.
