Music to Be Murdered By stylized as MUSIC TO BE MURDERƎD BY is the eleventh studio album by American rapper Eminem. It was released on January 17, 2020, by Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records and Shady Records. It was released with no prior announcement, in a similar fashion to his previous studio album Kamikaze 2018. The album was produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, amongst other producers. It features guest appearances from Young M. A, Royce da 5'9, White Gold, Ed Sheeran, the late Juice. Eminem hit us with another surprise album Music To Be Murdered By inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock 1958 version. Eminem responded to fans & critics it will be Chubby Checker's 1960's dance hit The Twist and Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel. Each year, 25 culturally or historically significant recordings are added to the registry, established in 2000. Garfunkel, 71, said he was thrilled and flattered to see the work preserved. Its subsequent success prompted the duo to reunite and record another album entitled Sounds of Silence in 1966, which Gar. The album was inspired by Sir Alfred Hitchcock 18991980, one of the most influential and prominent directors and filmmakers of all time, who titled his 1958 music album, Music to Be Murdered By. Throughout the course of Ems project he references Hitchcock numerous times, including on the secondary cover art, Alfred Interlude, Little Engine and Alfred Outro. The album features 12 artists across eight songs, including a third collaboration with Ed Sheeran, a track with the late Juice WRLD and three tracks with frequent collaborator, Royce da 5'9. Eminem dedicated this album to Juice WRLD and his bodyguard CeeAaqil Allah Barnes, who passed away. The title of Music to Be Murdered By alludes to a 1958 collaboration between Alfred Hitchcock and film composer Jeffrey Alexander, and Hitchcocks voice appears in segues throughout. Eminem piles on movie references, calling on everything from Reservoir Dogs to Rocky to 8 Mile.
