Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. The Velvet Underground is the self-titled third studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Released in March 1969, it was their first record with Doug Yule, who was a replacement for John Cale. Recorded in 1968 at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, the album's sound-consisting largely of ballads and straightforward rock songs-marked a notable shift in style from the band's previous recordings. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album number 314 in their list of the 500. The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed. Lou Reed. Lisa Says Live 1969. What Goes On Live In San Francisco, 1969. 1969: The Velvet Underground Live. 1969: The Velvet Underground Live is a live album by the Velvet Underground. It was originally released as a double album in September 1974 by Mercury Records. The September 1988 CD re-release was issued as two separate single CD volumes, with one extra track per disc. Since many of the band's studio albums were out of print in the USA from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, 1969 was one of the more popular albums by the band, and is a fan. 1969 was the year that The Velvet Underground, while not losing site of the death worryworship and downtown jive that made them so singular, embraced Pop with a capital P and Rock with a capital R and god1969 was the year that The Velvet Underground, while not losing site of the death worryworship and downtown jive that made them so singular, embraced Pop with a capital P and Rock with a capital R and godwith a lower case g , for their self-titled third album. Sadly, outside of a handful of audience tapes of extremely variable fidelity, no one thought to make a live recording of the Velvet Underground during their 1967-1968 peak period with John Cale prodding Lou Reed into remarkable flights of noise-rock fancy. The Velvet Underground was a pioneering experimental rock band from New York City first active from 1965 to 1973. Its best-known lineup consisted of vocalistguitarist Lou Reed, bassistviolist John Cale, guitarist Sterling Morrison and drummer Maureen Tucker. The band also collaborated with Nico for their debut album in 1967, under the supervision of producer and pop artist Andy Warhol. Some see The Velvet Underground as being a bridge between the pacifist themes of the late 60s and the sheer chaos and indifference of the mid-70s punk movement. The Velvet Underground was one of the read more. The velvet underground. 1969 live with lou reed. Sterling Morrison guitar, vocals. Lou Reed vocals, guitar. Maureen Tucker percussion. Doug Yule bass guitar, organ, vocals. It reflects the late Velvet Underground which is indisputably Lou Reed's band. I can't imagine why they ever tried to make a studio record after Lou Reed left, but apparently they did. Each of the four Velvet Underground studio albums is a very different experience. Although this live disc pulls material from all four albums, it is played through a post-Loaded prism which is usually more straightforward rock-oriented. This is the Velvet Underground at its best. Their music in general ages well and sounds as good today as it must have back in the 60's. This CD was recorded live in Texas and San Francisco in late 1969 when the band was at their peak. It features four previously unreleased songs and radically different versions of Sweet Jane and New Age, among others. I would also recommend Live 1969 Vol. 2 and their self-titled 3rd album & Loaded album. весь отзыв. оставлен . If you want to buy just one VU cd, this is it
