The Traveling Salesmen - Days Of My Shags from Peoria and Pekin, Illinois with It Ain't Easy released on the Golden Voice label in 1967. The album failed to garner attention, though the band continued to exist as a locally popular live act. The conceptual beginning of the Shaggs came from Austin Wiggin's mother who, when her son was young, had predicted during a palmreading that he would marry a strawberry blonde woman, that he would have two daughters after she had died, and that his daughters would form a popular music group. Or did our best. Austin named the Shaggs after the popular shag hairstyle and as a reference to shaggy dogs. In 1968, Austin arranged for the girls to play a regular Saturday night gig at the Fremont, New Hampshire, Town Hall. Sample of Who Are Parents by the Shaggs. Sidewalk Talk is a song by American record producer John Jellybean Benitez from his first extended play, Wotupski 1984. It was released on October 21, 1984, by EMI Records as the first single from the EP. The song was written by Madonna and produced by Benitez. They had initially met in 1983 and Benitez worked as a producer on Madonna's self-titled debut album. When he started work on his debut EP, Wotupski, Madonna wrote Sidewalk Talk for him. The song features bass and electric guitars. Its almost a shame the Shaggs did not continue to make music, there is an obvious talent hidden in each member, though maybe its a little hard to see. Some call it the worst CD ever made, I call it a comedic stepping stone to a band that could have been the greatest pop act of all time. This album has a legacy, influencing many a warped indie band to come, but there is nothing like listening to the album for the first time. It is truly one of the weirdest. The Shaggs' debut album was not what most people who have heard music before would consider good. I did enjoy playing and writing the music. Does the new album and the recent Shaggs resurgence represent a sort of redemption IThe Shaggs' debut album was not what most people who have heard music before would consider good. It was, however, undeniably unique. Frank Zappa said they were better than the Beatles, and Kurt Cobain said the Shaggs were so obviously the real. We did enjoy playing the dances. Its strange that a strict and conservative father like Austin was interested in putting his teenage daughters in a rock band. Does the new album and the recent Shaggs resurgence represent a sort of redemption I I dont really think of it that way. The album has since gone on to inspire several other revivals, which have included tribute albums and even an Off-Broadway play about the group. The Shaggs are now a distant memory, but as Dot tells Rolling Stone in a rare interview, she appreciates having been a part of something that has gone on to become so much more than it was. And she still marvels at her grandmothers prophecy, which propelled her father to spearhead the group. Im trying to talk her into at least one of them just to sing a couple of songs but she hasnt given me an answer yet. I imagine she has her own life. Yeah, shes not really . Текст песни: Watch where you walk 'cause the sidewalks talk And you cant keep a secret from the ground beneath you Step very lightly on the earth below Or before you know it everyone will know
