Rock And Roll Heaven '92 - The Righteous Brothers. Rock and Roll Heaven is song written by Alan O'Day and Johnny Stevenson and popularized by The Righteous Brothers. It is a paean to several deceased singers such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, and has been rewritten a number of times to include other singers. The song was first recorded by the band Climax in 1973, but it failed to chart. It was then covered by The Righteous Brothers in 1974 and reached number three on the U. Billboard Hot 100. From the American Bandstand 30th Anniversary Special aired 30 October 1981, the Righteous Brothers perform a slowed down version of their 1974 top 3 Righteous Brothers released three albums under the Moonglow label, one of these and a further compilation album were released after they had joined Phil Spector. Within a few weeks of reforming, they recorded Alan O'Day's Rock and Roll Heaven, a paean to several deceased rock singers which became a hit, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Several more minor hits on Haven followed. After 1975, however, the Righteous Brothers would not appear in music charts except for re-releases of older songs and compilation albums, some of which were re-recordings of earlier works. Rock and Roll Heaven. The Righteous Brothers were the musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. They recorded from 1963 through 1975, and continued to perform live until Hatfield's death in 2003. Their emotive vocal stylings were sometimes dubbed blue-eyed soul. They adopted their name in 1962 while performing together around Los Angeles, USA as part of a five-member group called The Paramours, which featured John Wimber who was much later one of the founders of the Vineyard Movement on keyboards. The Righteous Brothers were the duo of Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley. With hits including You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' and Unchained Melody, they were one of the biggest acts of the mid-'60s, but in 1968 Hatfield and Medley split to pursue solo careers. Potter and Lambert thought Rock And Roll Heaven would be the perfect song for The Righteous Brothers comeback, so they had the duo record the song they day after signing them. Released as a single, it quickly rose up the Hot 100, sending them scrambling to the studio to quickly complete the Give It To The People album. In America, two more singles charted from the album: the title track 20 and Dream On 32. Rock And Roll Heaven. I Just Wanna Be Me. Versioni 17. Trova la tua versione.
