In 1984, Gary Newby, Brian Bateman, Guy Keegan, and Stephen Hull formed The Railway Children. Their songs are drawn from glistening, lovely guitar melodies just rough enough around the edges to sound genuine. Lead singersongwriter Gary Newby sounds a lot like the vocalist from Spandau Ballet.
