The classic NUMBERS line-up of the Morrows &, Vidale, played their last gig in Sydney at The Tivoli in 1983. It's a pity that such a classy act as The Numbers did not reach the height of popularity that they deserved. Their first single The Modern Song caught the ear of Double J, their next release Five Letter Word went Top 40 helped along by an appearance on Countdown, and their first full-length album The NUMBERS went Top 30 in 1980. There were various lineup changes along the way but Annalise and Chris remained the core of the band
