Turn On The Music Machine is the debut album by the American garage rock band the Music Machine, and was released on Original Sound Records on December 31, 1966. It arrived just months after the group's hit single, Talk Talk, propelled to number 15 on the national charts. Although the album was hastily recorded to capitalize on the Music Machine's popularity, Turn On The Music Machine managed to become a moderate hit on the Billboard 200, and is hailed today as a classic garage rock piece. The cover versions on the disc are not as good as the songs the band wrote themselves. Talk Talk was the group's only Top 40 hit, and Double Yellow Line was on the first Nuggets boxed set, but there are several songs that the group wrote themselves that are great Sixties garagepsychedelic tunes that most people probably have never heard. Love the mono version, but I actually think I like the stereo version more, which is unusual for me & 60's stuff. Stereo is real stereo or at least sounds like ti in headphones, expect maybe Talk Talk not reprocessed rubbish. Particularly like the stereo echo of Bonniwell's vocals on Hey Joe.
