While the Model Rockets' main influence is classic power pop, they occasionally kick some songs into punk overdrive, making it difficult to pigeonhole the band as being of one style or another. Model Rockets were a power pop and garage rock influenced melodic rock band from Seattle, Washington. They were active from the mid-90s until around 2004.
