The Jasmine Minks are a British indie pop band, whose early singles were amongst the first releases by Creation Records. Formed in Aberdeen in 1983, the band were initially a quartet of Jim Shepherd guitarvocals, Adam Sanderson vocalsguitar, Martin Keenabass guitar, and Tom Reid drumsvocals. After sending a demo tape to Melody Maker, the band were recruited by Alan McGee to record for the fledgling Creation label. Their first single, Think was recorded for 50 at Alaska Studios, Waterloo. Hailing originally from Scotland, the Jasmine Minks were the first band signed to Alan McGee's Creation records. If you like your music to be proud, polemic and thought provoking then the Jasmine Minks are for you. Now, over 30 years since they first formed, the Jasmine Minks still bring new tunes to you here whilst also offering some harder to access tunes from the past - we hope you enjoy.
