Though Times Have Changed marked The Impressions first full-length release after Curtis Mayfield's departure, it couldn't be said to signal a radical change in sound or direction for the vaunted Chicago soul group. Indeed, Times Have Changed is very much a Mayfield-helmed effort. By the time of the records release, Mayfield had perfected the densely layered, funk-oriented production style that informed his early solo albums. Album 1971 8 Songs. Stop the War.
