What Goes Around. heralded the return of Graham Nash into the Hollies fold after a 15-year 1968-1983 sabbatical. The seeds of this project were planted nearly 18 months before the album was released. The first incarnation of the band - including original bassist Eric Haydock - made an appearance on the legendary BBC pop music program Top of the Pops. This is also worthy of note as the same quintet had performed for the show's debut episode on New Year's Day 1964.
