Holiday is the fourth studio album by the American folk rock band America, released on the Warner Bros. Records label in June 1974. The album was produced in London by noted record producer George Martin. The album was a big hit in the US, reaching number 3 on the Billboard album chart and being certified gold by the RIAA. It produced two hit singles: Tin Man reached number 4 on the Billboard singles chart and went to number 1 on the adult contemporary chart chart and Lonely People which peaked. Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You In The Closet And I'm Feelin' So Sad, Music From the Film Score, Composed and Conducted by Neal Hefti, on RCA Holiday is the debut album from Buckinghamshire-based Alternative band Futures, given away free with issue 133 March 2010 of Rock Sound magazine. This was the first time Rock Sound had given away a full album for free and led to this issue of the magazine becoming the highest selling in two years. The album was re-released through the band's website on 19 April 2010, with bonus acoustic tracks. All songs written by Futures. Title: Poor Cow 1967. There are some good moments on this 13-track collection, but the sound is so poor and the production so shoddy that neither collectors who would like this material, but in better fidelity and with liner notes nor casual fans who would like a budget-priced holiday album from either artist, but one that features clean recordings will be pleased with this disc.
