A compilation of The Ears best and/or most notorious material. Dogs in Space is the only extant album from the band. Released via Bandcamp

Tracks 7, 9 and 12 came from a forgotten recording session (possibly involving Jim Atkins) possibly towards the late middle of the band's existence. The ancient 4 track 1/4 inch tape on which this and two other songs were found, bore the note 'St Kilda Studios'. The songs had separate tracks for guitar/bass/drums and keys, but no vocals. With the help of the hierophant Simon Polinski, the sound has been brought up to scratch and, of course, vocals have been added.

Dogs in Space is a 1986 Australian film set in Melbourne's Little Band post-punk music scene in 1978. It was directed by Richard Lowenstein and starred Michael Hutchence as Sam, the drug-addled frontman of the fictitious band from which the film takes its name. Dogs in Space centres on a group of young music fans sharing a house in the inner Melbourne suburb of Richmond.
