Reach for the Sun is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band The Dangerous Summer. On November 19, 2008, it was mentioned that the band had started recording their debut album at Valencia Studios with producer Paul Leavitt. In January 2009, the band went on tour with School Boy Humor and Select Start. On February 6, Reach for the Sun was announced for release in May, and its track listing was revealed. Reach for the Sun is truly an excellent record in all aspects. The instrumentation serves to distinguish the Dangerous Summer from other pop-punk contemporaries. The lyrics combined with Perdomos unique voice fill each song with unadulterated emotion so palpable that it is difficult not to be touched in some way. The records only flaw is to drag in the middle portion, but this only detracts slightly from the quality of the songs.
