Horizon At a time when the chill out thing substitutes blandness for maturity and mainstream dance music seems to be searching for its dummy again, J. Swinscoe's Cinematic Orchestra return to blow all your expectations. rikm I bought this album when it originally came out and at the time it was something new and different from most of what I was listening to, a sultry jazz-y late night kind of feel, something instantly beautiful, chilled, music for closing times and coming down. Every Day is the second studio album by the Cinematic Orchestra. It was released through Ninja Tune on 27 April 2002 in Japan and 13 May 2002 elsewhere. It was re-released in November 2003 with two additional tracks. It was written and produced by band members Phil France and Jason Swinscoe. In 2010, it was awarded a gold certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 100,000 copies throughout Europe. All That You Give feat. By enlisting new recruits to his Orchestra, Jason Swinscoe has sloughed the derivative mannerisms that marred 1999's Motion and 2000's Remixes 1998-2000- where those two albums sounded stiff and crippled by the weight of overt influence, Every Day is both stately and loose. And by ditching his Miles DavisGil Evans stance and embracing freer jazz elements, Swinscoe has finally achieved a much-needed spaciousness and gran. This playlist has no tracks yet. Album release date: 13 May 2002. Burn Out. The last track 'Every day' features a sample of a congalese choir from a 1958 album Missa Luba by Les Troubadours Du Roi Baudouin. What really spun me out is I found a copy of Missa Luba from a charity shop for 25p in 2001 and used the exact same track on a mix tape I did and had the idea of sampling it once I got the equipment. A year later and Cinematic Orchestra had beaten me to it. I EverydayI , the second album by the Cinematic Orchestra, finds them simultaneously condensing and expanding their sound. Their examination of mood is much more focused, but their song structure is more relaxed, allowing them to explore different riffs
