This is taken from what is possibly a demo or pre-release tape for a never released album. I believe the material is circa 1987 or 1988 as the third track on the tape, Broken Glass appeared on the Play Records compilation, Exhibit C which was released in 1988. Richard Patrick joined Nine Inch Nails as a touring guitarist in 1989 shortly after NIN founder, Trent Reznor released Pretty Hate Machine and The Akt disbanded. The Demo Tape is the first mixtape released by R. Kelly in June 2009. The mixtape originally was to keep fans over until Kelly's forthcoming album was released. Hosted by DJ Drama and DJ Skee and released under each of their mixtape brands, Gangsta Grillz and Skeetox. Kelly remixes several popular R&BHip-Hop songs and performs some original songs as well.
