Heard Mr. Evans on the radio for the first time and had to have this song- The River. Backed by a number of stellar musicians like Ry Cooder, Hence Powell, Paul Bloch and others- the rhythm keeps you moving as the river keeps a Terry keeps on singing. Not as good as his Blues For You album but enjoyable all the same. Recording quality still top notch though. Think this album might become whats termed as a 'grower'. Time will tell. Read more.
