Born into a musical family, his uncle was saxophonist Ted Nash and his father is trombonist Dick Nash, both prominent jazz soloists and first call Hollywood studio musicians. Exposed to music and encouraged by his father, trombonist Dick Nash, and uncle, reedman Ted Nash - both well-known studio and jazz musicians - the younger Nash started playing the piano when he was seven. By the time he turned 12, he had started playing the clarinet a year later the obviously talented Nash had picked up the alto sax. I'm excited to announce the release of Vol. I of my method book in four volumes featuring almost three thousand measures of sax section music. The purpose of this book including scores, parts and recordings is to give the player an opportunity to play any chair along with the rest of the sax section played on the recordings by me. This allows the player to work on blend, intonation and phrasing in a variety of styles, feels and tempos.
