Stephen John Ellis born 7 April 1950, Edgware, Middlesex is an English rockpop singer, who now lives in Brighton. His biggest success was with the band Love Affair, best known for the songs Everlasting Love, A Day Without Love, Rainbow Valley and Bringing On Back the Good Times. Ellis later felt that Love Affair had run its course, and he left in December 1969 for a solo career: We never really made it big anywhere but Britain and I think that if we had started to happen in America. Steve Ellis first began singing in a band at the age of 15. The band were called Soul Survivors, initially gate crashing weddings, youth clubs and barmitzvas in north London on the pretence that they were booked to perform. When the band improved substantially they began to play venues such as The Marquee, The Flamingo, Tiles and Mod clubs in Brighton, Clacton and Soul clubs in Manchester, Stoke etc. New album reunites steve with the sony label and coincides with the 50 th anniversary of UK number one Everlasting love.
