Laid is the fifth studio album by British alternative rock band James. It was released on 27 September 1993. It was the first of several collaborations between the group and Brian Eno, who produced all but one of the album's tracks in Stuart Maconie's authorised biography of the group, Folklore, they admitted that Eno didn't like the song One of the Three so they recorded it when he took a day off. The sessions also resulted in the experimental Wah Wah album. Skunk was an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Maplewood, New Jersey. During the group's existence Skunk released two albums on TwinTone Records 1989's Last American Virgin and 1991's Laid. Skunk was the first band of now respected session guitarist Matt Sweeney, who after their demise went on to form New York City math rock quartet Chavez, and drummer Claude Coleman, Jr. best known for his over 20-year tenure playing with Ween. Laid Back is the debut studio solo album by American singer-songwriter Gregg Allman, released in October 1973 by Capricorn Records. Allman, best known as the vocalistlyricistorganist of the Allman Brothers Band, first began considering a solo career after internal disagreements with that group. He developed the album as a small creative outlet wherein he would assume full control, and he co-produced the album alongside Johnny Sandlin.
