Rhino this album is very fun, he still has his country-style roots but incorporates more technicalities as well as variation in style within this album, from classic country, lo-fi style folk, to rock. warms my heart and stimulates my brain. Shakey Graves became known for his one-man band set up and most of his 2011 self-released debut album Roll the Bones features him playing solo. This set up originated after he grew tired of having to borrow kick drums and high hats in order to perform. His solution consisted of a modified suitcase that functions as both a kick drum and a tambourine stand built by a close friend. The album, titled And the War Came, was released on October 7, 2014. Shakey Graves is the stage name of Austin, Texas-based singer, songwriter, and musician Alejandro Rose-Garcia, who is probably better known under his real name as an actor, having appeared in several movies and who has had a recurring role in the television series Friday Night Lights. As a musician, however, he's his own species, really, having developed a kind of one-man band hobo folk approach to songwriting and performance. His sound is kind of alt-country, but only sort of, and yeah, he's folky, too, but what really makes his songs something different is his innate po.
