Italian symphonic power metal sextet Secret Sphere unleashes its fifth album with such ferocity, one would think that this was a debut release. Inspired by a Scandinavian tour with King Diamond, Secret Sphere takes a darker turn, and unveils a macabre concept album with SWEET BLOOD THEORY. Based on John Polidoris 1819 short story THE VAMPYRE, the album twists the traditions of symphonic metal, adding a Tim Burton-esque atmosphere to the triumph-and-tragedy musical swordplay. Secret Sphere is an Italian symphonic power metal band from Alessandria formed by guitarist Aldo Lonobile in July 1997. Guitarist Aldo Lonobile formed Secret Sphere in July 1997. Early on, the band was influenced by hard rock, heavy metal, and classical music. After some lineup changes in December 1997, the band recorded their first demo, Between Story and Legend, in September 1998.
