This 1984 release was Scott Cossu's third album. Islands 8 tracks 42 min. starts off with the best track of them all, Ohana, with great interplay between the piano and the rest of the band. It leads into the epic 8 min. track Gypsy Dance, featuring great violin and percussion. Croix is a beautifully pensive track. As with most of Scott Cossu's CDs, Islands is a mixture of moods upbeat, mellow. It's a great CD to listen to when you need to unwind, drive in rush hour, or want to listen to something that evokes your emotions. I've been a big fan of Scott Cossu since when New Age was popular.
