Gyllene Tider was released on 18 February 1980 and is the debut studio album by Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider. The album peaked at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart and number 27 on the Norwegian Albums Chart. As of July 1981, the album had sold 150,000 copies in Sweden since its release. Side A. Gyllene Tider is a Swedish pop group fronted by Roxette-singer, guitarist and songwriter Per Gessle. They are one of the best selling Swedish bands ever and are known in Scandinavia for numerous hits, starting with the break-through song Flickorna på TV2 in 1980. The band has earned a legendary status in Sweden based on their power pop, catchy choruses and lyrics about life in a small town. Gyllene Tider is happy with the ticket sales. Per said to Expressen that several concerts are basically sold out. There will be around 10,000 people per gig. I have been hoping to find the Gyllene Tider 45 as Roxette on US pressing stock copy with Can I Touch You flip side on Capitol 5380 released in 1984 from the Heartland Café EP. I regret never having the chance to see Roxette live in concert other than the awesome shows I have on DVD. Being there in person is a whole another dimension.
