Released in a textured sleeve with a round black & white 'RIDE "Nowhere"' removable sticker attached. The band name RIDE and the LP title NOWHERE, on the front cover are embossed. Some sleeves are textured without the embossed band name and title as in Nowhere.

Nowhere is the debut album by British shoegaze band Ride, released 15 October 1990. Rolling Stone called the album a masterpiece, and online magazine Pitchfork called it one of shoegazing's enduring moments. Ride released three EPs, Ride, Play, and Fall, prior to the release of Nowhere. Nowhere was recorded live-in-the-studio with producer Marc Waterman. Nowhere by Ride is one of the seminal albums of the Shoegazing genre, even if the sound of the album is not necessarily indebted to Shoegaze. Rather, Ride's album seems to predict many genres of rock that were to be heard down the road, from Britpop to Indie. Their heavy use of distortion and hypnotic guitar figures certainly got them lumped into the Shoegaze scene, but really what we have here is a unique slice of guitar pop made by a group of immensely talented and inspired young men. The infl. Nowhere seems to hold consensus as the second-best record of the shoegaze era, and with very good reason. All of the common words, phrases, and adjectives commonly used with the short-lived subgenre fit properly here, and they're all positive, every one of them. Whir, whoosh, haze, swirl, ad nauseum - this record holds all of these elements at their most exciting and mastered. But in the end, great pop records necessitate quality songs, which Nowhere delivers throughout. Undeniably, it's Ride's zenith - dense, tight, hypnotic. The term shoegazer is synonymous with My Bloody Valentine, and even more specifically with the album Isnt Anything and their powerful follow-up Loveless. If one had to name the next thing that comes to mind when hearing the word shoegazer it would probably be Slowdives Souvlaki. The albums Loveless and Souvlaki are usually considered the two-headed monster within the genre. There is, however, a third album, released a full year before Loveless and 3 years before Souvlaki, that arguably holds a claim to the first tru. Genre: Shoegaze.
