So It Goes is the debut studio album by New York City hip hop group Ratking, which consisted at the time rappers Wiki and Hak, and rapper-producer Sporting Life. It was released on April 8, 2014 by HXC Recordings. It was entirely engineered by Young Guru. The album's title was inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's novel Slaughterhouse-Five. The album features collaborations with King Krule, Salomon Faye, and Wavy Spice. The album reached 13 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums, 38 on Top R&BHip-Hop Albums. Текст песни: No need to be cooping it home Got the stoop as my throne Brick and concrete stricken on me, with a raunchy ho swollen No Rome throne York hip hop outfit Ratking is back with a new record and original sound that takes a modern approach to recreating the urban jungle they come from. What did you think of this album Love it. Ratking is Wiki, Hak & Sporting Life. Barcode: 6 34904 07051 9. one of my fave albums of all time, easily top 5. The packaging isn't anything eye-opening but it includes a dope poster of NY. wik, sport & hak are so good on this album, pick it up if you like experimental hip-hop. 返信 通知を希望する Helpful. Ratking's palette is restless, chaotic, and cluttered, and So It Goes sounds like it exists in its own world. This ain't 90s revival It's earlier, it's tribal revival, Wiki raps on Protein , a disorienting song with an insistent MIDI tone driving the beat, a lengthy instrumental break in the middle, some understated singing, and a lot of disembodied yelling. Kyle Kramer of Pitchfork Media gave the album a 7. 5 out of 10, saying: There's a pulsing, lived-in energy to So It Goes that captures what New York feels like and pushes at the boundaries of lyrically-driven rap. The album received moderate critical and commercial acclaim after its release, reaching 21 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart. In his review of the album, Kyle Kramer of Pitchfork Media praised the album, saying. Theres a pulsing, lived-in energy to So It Goes that captures what New York feels like and pushes at the boundaries of lyrically-driven rap. So It Goes Q&A. Aptly named, New York City hip-hop crew Ratking have that subterranean royalty thing on lock, coming off as a Wu-Tang-ish package of power and empire-demolishing purpose on So It Goes, a murky slab of revolution music that overcomes its accessibility issues with pure excitement. Speaking of accessibility issues, the first track's title is a symbol, and the first four cuts play out like a chaotic remix of Yeezus with all sliders on the graphic equalizer pushed up to 11. Brutally hip-hop with post-punk tendencies, Ratkings debut album is a wonderfully dystopic record that is as progressive as it is anarchist. Ratking really is that thing. Read full review.
