Parade is the eighth studio album by American recording artist Prince, and the fourth and final album to feature The Revolution as his backing band. It also was the soundtrack album to the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon, directed by and starring Prince. It was released on March 31, 1986 by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Parade eschews the guitar and rock elements of Prince's 1984 album Purple Rain in favor of the psychedelic pop style he explored on Around the World in a Day 1985. Prince is the self-titled second studio album by American singer Prince. It was released on October 19, 1979 by Warner Bros. The album was written, arranged, composed, produced and performed entirely by Prince. Overall, Prince was regarded as more diverse than For You 1978, and performed better critically and commercially. Reviewing in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies 1981, Robert Christgau wrote: This boy is going to be a big star, and he deserves it. For You is the debut studio album by American recording artist Prince. It was released by Warner Bros. Records on April 7, 1978. All tracks were produced, arranged, composed, and performed by Prince. Prince started recording in September 1977 at Sound 80 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he had previously made a demo. Dream Factory is an unreleased album by Prince and the Revolution, planned for release following their third and ultimately final album Parade. There are three known configurations of the album, dated late April 1986, 3 June 1986, and 18 July 1986. Many of the tracks considered for the Dream Factory album have been released in one form or another.
