Album

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut 1983. It is also one of their most political albums mainly criticising the British role in the Falkland war. It was the last album that featured longtime bassistvocalist Roger Waters, for he would leave the band after the release of this album due to lingering creative differences that plagued the band throughout the late 70s, as well as at least one potentially ruinous lawsuit. Pink Floyd : The Final Cut. Rick Wright had been fired, studio musicians supplant the band, and even David Gilmour only sings lead on the scabrous rocker Not Now John. I held the blade in trembling hands Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang I never had the nerve to make the final cut. With The Final Cut, Pink Floyd caps its career in classic form, and leader Roger Waters - for whom the group has long since become little more than a pseudonym - finally steps out from behind the Wall where last we left him. The even bent of the arrangements, where the music is used as texture, not music, means that The Final Cut purposely alienates all but the dedicated listener. All lead vocals performed by Roger Waters, except Not Now John by David Gilmour and Waters. The Final Cut Full Album. Album 1983 13 Songs. ALAN
I have to confess that I did not listen very passionately to this release. I think very few people regard this as their favorite Pink Floyd album. With that said I didnt feel much over the mastering or pressing. I would put my money on the newer 2016 re release if anything. I can not speak for them but from what I hear almost all the 2016 re releases were brilliantly done, so unless you are really looking to save money or dont care too much about sound you should look into those instead.
