November 2003 saw the release of Peter Gabriel's 'Growing Up Live' DVD, chronicling his World Tour, which was celebrated for its spectacular theatrics. 'Still Growing Up Live and Unwrapped' brings Peter Gabriel together again with the award winning director, Hamish Hamilton, capturing his perfiormances in all sorts of smaller and more intimate venues around Europe, for the 'Live' version of the DVD. For the 'Unwrapped' version, wich explores the world behind the songs, Anna Gabriel took over the director's chair with the collaboration of Hamish Hamilton. A simpler approach suggested a different set list, and Peter, Hamish and Anna were determined that this should be filmed in a very different style.
It shows Peter Gabriel as many of his fans love to see him, just playing music.

Still Growing Up: Live & Unwrapped is a DVD film by Hamish Hamilton and Peter Gabriel. It features several live performances from Gabriel's 2004 Still Growing Up tour. The film aims to show Gabriel in a more intimate setting, discarding many of the stage antics featured in Growing Up Live. Bonus features include exclusive interview footage of Gabriel and his live band, live rehearsals of Darkness, No Way Out and Growing Up, as well as live performances of Father, Son and Downside Up on Later. The follow up to Peter Gabriels 2003 Growing Up Live DVD, Still Growing Up Live & Unwrapped featured the second leg of the mammoth tour that supported Peters seventh studio album UP. The Live film sees Peter reunited with award winning director Hamish Hamilton and features footage from over 20 shows and festivals across Europe shot during June and July 2004. The Unwrapped element is a separate disc featuring exclusive behind the scenes footage shot by Peters daughter Anna who had unparalleled access throughout the tour. This double-set sequel to Peter Gabriel's 2003 successful tour DVD Still Growing Up is twice as long and about half as effective as its predecessor. The package includes one hour-and-a-half disc of the same band playing much of the same material in supposedly smaller places, and a second documentary disc. The unwrapped title infers this might be unplugged, but that is not the case.
