PANKO MUSIK is a german underground mystery what almost nothing is known about. Once a live performance from this five-piece project was recorded in in album Panko - Weil Es So Schön Perlt 1971. Panko from West Berlin - not to be confused with the much later GDR band Pankow - are somewhat reminiscent of Xhol Caravan or the early Embryo. They mostly presented long jazzy instrumental passages dominated by the transverse flute and alto saxophone, temporarily interrupted by mainly English vocals and some follies. The band existed from the late sixties until the end of 1972. Finally, in 1983, their drummer released the cassette tape, Weil es so schön perlt Getto SO 36, with live recordings of good sound quality from June 1971.
