It features the leader on flute, plus the extraordinary contribution of the celebrated José Chombo Silva on violin, and vocals by Elliot Romero and Rudy Calzado. As a bonus, Pacheco's first album, Pacheco y su Charanga Vol. 1 Alegre Records LPA 801, in its entirety. PERSONNEL . En 1960 forma su primera orquesta llamada Pacheco y su Charanga. La orquesta firma con el sello Alegre Records con el cual vende más de copias de su primer álbum titulado Pacheco y su Charanga Vol. A partir de entonces y hasta finales de 1963, se convirtió en una estrella de fama internacional y realizó giras en los Estados Unidos, Europa, Asia y América Latina. Por otra parte Pacheco y su Charanga, fue la primera banda latina en presentarse en Teatro Apollo en 1962 y 1963. A fines de 1963 crea la disquera Fania Records junto a Jerry Masucci.
