To Syria, with Love is the third studio album by Syrian musician Omar Souleyman. It was released on 2 June 2017 under Mad Decent. In a press release, Souleyman described the album as a personal ode to Syria and focuses on his emotional connection with the country. Longtime collaborator, Shawah Al Ahmad, wrote most of the lyrics for the album. He works with producer Hasan Alo for a sleek, hypnotic sound. When Sublime Frequencies 2007 compilation Highway to Hassake Folk and Pop Sounds of Syria introduced Syrian singer Omar Souleyman to the West, one could write about the jalabiya and keffiyeh-clad artist with perhaps only a side mention of his home country.
