BBC Radio 1 Live in Concert is a live album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, recorded in 1973. All lyrics are written by Manny Charlton, Dan McCafferty, Pete Agnew, Darrell Sweet unless otherwise noted. Pete Agnew - bass guitar, piano, backing vocals. Manny Charlton - guitar, backing vocals. Dan McCafferty - vocals. Darrell Sweet - drums, percussion, backing vocals. Alan Gardner - liner notes. Jeff Griffin - producer. Jo Murphy - coordination, compilation. Granted, the concert that is chronicled here took place very early in their career, and many of their glory songs had yet to be written, let alone recorded. Still, the band's performance and the quality of the material showed that this was a group of musicians who were really deserving of bigger and better things. Don't expect to find such classics as Hair of the Dog or Love Hurts, but you will find some great rock songs from one of the finest hard rock acts to emerge in the 1970s.
