Karma is a jazz recording by the American tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, released in May of 1969 as Impulse Records AS 9181. The social and political upheavals of the 1960s have been cited as a major factor in the emergence of a new stylistic trend in jazz, with a very different emphasis to the forms of the music which emerged earlier. Many of the artists involved in the making of this new music, variously called free jazz, the new thing, or energy music, recorded for the Impulse label. Karma is the ninth studio album by Canadian industrialelectronic music group Delerium. Guest musicians on the album include Sarah McLachlan Silence, Lisa Gerrard Forgotten Worlds, Kristy Thirsk Enchanted, Lamentation, Wisdom, 'Til The End Of Time, Jacqui Hunt Euphoria Firefly, Greg Reely, and Camille Henderson Duende. The album took around a year to record and assemble. Gregorian chants were recorded especially for the project according to Bill Leeb, it was less expensive.
