Lou Reed March 2, 1942 - October 27, 2013 was an American rock artist originally from Brooklyn, New York, USA. Especially while a member of the The Velvet Underground in the 1960s, Reed broke new ground for the rock genre in several important dimensions, introducing more mature and intellectual themes to what was then considered a largely simplistic genre of music. In 1964 Reed moved to New York City and began working as an in-house songwriter for Pickwick Records. Mistrial is the fourteenth solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in June 1986 by RCA Records two years after his previous album, New Sensations 1984. Fernando Saunders and Reed produced the album. Mistrial peaked at No. 47 on the U. Billboard 200 and at No. 69 on the UK Albums Chart. Two singles were released from the album: The Original Wrapper and No Money Down with the latter being the only single to chart, peaking at No. 75 on the ARIA Charts. A music video was created.
