I think the battle would plays out differently depending on the terrain. Rambo has shown that he can create and lays out deadly trap while being injured and running from his attackers. He's an expert at taking his enemies down patiently, letting them wear themselves out. It's possible Matrix is a better gunman, so without cover he might have the advantage. Matrix also never really showed that he was all that smart. Many times he would just stand out in the open, standing still, and firing at his enemies, probably praying that none of them ever learned to aim. John Wick 3 had a body count that looked like it went past three digits. Rambo too had a high body count but not as severe as John Wick3. John Wicks body count was laced throughout the picture with a roller coaster level of violence. Rambos body count was mainly in the final act and from this POV, it was rather tepid and lukewarm, mainly because the acts of aggression werent anything new or exciting. John Matrix kills over 100 people in the last scene of Commando with the guns he brings. Which, admittedly, is pretty much what he has here. I think Matrix would win in h2h because Rambo only used his h2h on goons really besides the third movie and Matrix went up against Cook and whooped that ass. If its hand to hand, Matrix has far better raw strength feats, like throwing a lot of guys off of him at once, ripping a phone booth out of the ground while it had a grown man it, ripping pipes out of ceilings, ripping security bars off of windows, etc
